I was going to ask myself about hercu-liner and see the jeep is about ready if it wasn’t any good I was gonna pay to have it rhino-lined and be doen with it. If I can spray the herculiner on and get it thicker or as thinck as rhin-lining will be and it be cheaper to do I’ll go that route otherwose I’m gonna pay someone. Again, I’m not trying to start any thing here, if one (or two) gallons of Raptor works for you, then that’s all that matters. Herculiner is by far the best DIY bed liner. It use to be, IMO, until Dupli-Color came out with Bed Armor. I saw a duplicolor truck bed coating in a spray can, for about 6 bucks a can, and I was wondering how this stuff compared to herculiner or durabak, and how does durabak compare to herculiner? which is most expensive. First off, this is the second truck I have DIY’d a bed liner. My old Dodge Ram 1500 with Herculiner (back in 2005) didn’t turn out bad, but, after 3 years you could tell I rushed it a bit and it started to peel up in places. While using a head lamp to find and scuff missed areas as I went I also would vacuum all dust after each hour or so just to keep clean up easier and not let the dust hide any missed spots.
Has anyone here used the new Duplicolor Bed Armor with Kevlar? I saw some other sites with guys saying it was tougher then Herculiner, but I would rather trust some opinions here. I have enough leftover for some touch up or another thick coat. Duplicolor makes two bed liners one cheap low end and the other higher end with kevlar for strength. My hitch on my restoration was so rusty that I ground it down used rust converter and then rust encapsulator paint then top coated with three layers of Duplicolor Bed Armor with Kevlar. I did herculiner in the inside of my old Jeep. I routinely get 3 tons of stone loaded in it at the quarry and the only places that there is any chipping is where I have hit it with a sharp edge of metal going to the scrap yard or where I missed prepping the bed in a couple of spots. My brother was cheap and did the herculiner. I have rhino-liner in my truck, paid 375 to have the bed done and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

I did the exterior of my Jeep in Monstaliner and I’m happy with it as it doesn’t have the rough texture of the Bed Armor or Herculiner. It’s very durable so far from a scratching point of view, but it does mar somewhat. NOT Duplicolor!!!! i’d go the Herculiner or Road Warrior (Rustoleum).
